The version of Ubuntu is the latest version as of this post, downloaded today.
I installed unique christmas gifts for her canada Ubuntu on a system that has Windows 10 installed.
Some info that may be useful: - I tried to do 'some outdoor solar store coupon code magic' by myself guided by some googled tutorials before I asked my brother for doing so, but with no effect (but I surely could break something as I didn't really know what was.
Evidently Microsoft signs Ubuntu loaders so that it is acceptable for their secure boot system. So can u help me get out of this boot crazyness? In partitioning tutorial I mentioned above I skipped point 7 (tutorial says it's optional there is something about /boot partition, maybe thats where I made the mistake. He made it possible for me to enter Ubuntu via boot menu (when i click F12 i can choose between Windows and Ubuntu).Hope that is enough info.
Firstly, I have to hit F12 at boot to see the Microsoft boot loader.
Now I have a different problem.
I installed it to a USB, which booted fine, ran it from USB to test it, all devices on the laptop worked, so I installed it from inside Ubuntu.I can boot to Windows or Ubuntu normally using grub.(trying the grub commands from this link: How to recover lost grub bootloader in Linux didn't work). That is not a big deal really. He entered Ubuntu live usb and did 'some magic' (that means stuff that I don't fully understand, he mainly used terminal).By continuing to browse this site, you agree to this use. Also I tried using this 'Boot-Repair' thing, also before I passed my laptop to my brother and without effect too(I think he was using boot repair live usb too, when he was fixing it for me, here is link if anyone is wondering whats.Exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command.Secondly I installed Ubuntu, setting partitions manually (using top rated answer to this question as guide: ).Only Windows was aviable (grub didn't appear and couldn't enter it via bios boot settings).
But it would be nice to just show the loader automatically.
Thanks for your feedback.
